B-12 Injections for Los Angeles Workplaces

Interested in B-12 injections as part of a workplace health event? Contact The Flu Shot Guys to discuss availability, clinical eligibility and the steps needed to plan an appropriate service for your team.

What is a B-12 injection?

Vitamin B-12 supports healthy nerve and blood cells. Prescription B-12 injections are commonly used to treat a deficiency. They are not a vaccination and do not protect against flu or other infections. Read the NIH vitamin B-12 fact sheet.

Clinical need comes first

B-12 injections should be based on an individual clinical assessment, not a blanket assumption that every employee needs a shot. A clinician can determine whether evaluation, testing or treatment is appropriate.

B-12 is not a proven energy or athletic-performance boost for people who already get enough of it. Our planning conversation should focus on appropriate care rather than promises of increased productivity or weight loss. See NIH’s explanation of B-12 and energy.

Planning a workplace B-12 event

  • Confirm availability. Ask whether the service can be arranged for your location and dates.
  • Clarify clinical requirements. Confirm the assessment, prescription or order requirements before inviting employees.
  • Agree on the scope. Discuss what the appointment includes and whether follow-up care is needed.
  • Confirm the cost. Request pricing, payment details and any participation minimum for B-12 services.

The 15-person flu clinic minimum should not be assumed to apply to B-12 appointments.

Questions employers often ask

Should every employee receive B-12?

No. Suitability is an individual clinical decision. Participation in a workplace wellness event does not establish a medical need.

Can B-12 be added to a flu clinic?

Ask about coordinating services before booking. Availability and clinical requirements must be confirmed separately.

Can employees share medical information in the quote form?

The business quote form is for coordination details. Employees should share medical information through the clinical process provided for their care.

Plan B-12 appointments around appropriate care

01

Employer coordination

Provide the workplace address, preferred dates and an estimate of interest. An interest count helps with planning; it does not establish clinical eligibility.

02

Individual assessment

Confirm how a qualified clinician will evaluate suitability and explain any assessment or order requirements before treatment.

03

Clear next steps

Ask what participants should expect at the appointment, how they receive instructions and how any follow-up care will be arranged.

Separate an employee benefit from a medical decision

An employer can make an appropriate service easier to access, but the decision about treatment belongs in the individual clinical conversation. Employee communications should describe the opportunity to ask about B-12 care and the assessment process. Avoid describing an injection as something everyone needs to perform well at work.

Managers can coordinate space and scheduling without collecting staff members’ symptoms, test results or medical histories. Let the clinical team specify the appropriate channel for those details. An employee who has questions about whether the service is suitable should have a route to ask privately.

What to clarify in a B-12 proposal

Ask whether an assessment is included, what treatment is being proposed, what the price covers and whether there are separate follow-up costs. Clarify whether your requested dates and site are suitable, and whether participation can be coordinated alongside another clinic. The answer should be confirmed for your event rather than assumed from a general website description.

More planning questions

Does expressing interest commit an employee to an injection?

An interest estimate is for planning. It should not replace clinical assessment or an informed decision about treatment.

Can HR recommend B-12 for someone who seems tired?

HR should not make treatment decisions based on how an employee appears. Personal health concerns belong in a discussion with a qualified healthcare professional.

What should our invitation say?

Explain the proposed service, how eligibility will be assessed, the confirmed cost arrangement and how to ask questions. Avoid guaranteed energy, productivity or weight-loss claims.
